Proximity Lock-and-Unlock: Our keys detect your presence and unlock when you come close, locking when you walk away. Apple integrated for tracking cars. Stylish and durable with unique, easy-to-hold shell design.
Keyless Entry
Twisting keys in the lock is becoming a thing of the past, and a lot of new vehicles now have keyless entry. This means that you can unlock the car by pressing the button on a fob or pulling the door handle, which means that your hands are free and that you don't have to look through your bag looking for keys.
The system works because the car transmits a radio signal which is then picked up and then sent back to the key fob. This is then recognized by the vehicle and it will typically unlock the doors or turn on the interior lighting (if it is programmed to do this).
Some keyless entry systems don't even utilize a fob. Instead, they use an application on your smartphone to send a signal directly to the car. This is often referred to as the phone-as-key or digital key as well, and can be a great way to give other drivers access to the car without having to pass the keys.
There have been instances of car thefts using keyless entry systems. To avoid this you can purchase an anti-theft device for the key fob, called Secure-A-Key. The device will shut off the remote control's battery if it hasn't been moved for a few minutes. It makes it harder to steal the car.
Start and Exit System
When you return to your car with a muddy coat from the field or a wet shopping bag, Skoda's Simply Clever features will help. This includes a clever boot mat that doubles as a second side in the Karoq that is made of fabric on one side and plastic on the other, which protects the floor when it gets wet or dirty.
The modern keyless entry system, referred to as the KESSY control unit includes an additional layer of security built in to safeguard your vehicle. The system ensures that the correct key was used to start the engine and, if it wasn't then the immobilizer will be activated. This stops the vehicle from starting by blocking different actions, such as disable the ignition coil, injectors or fuel pump.
If the immobilizer is on, you'll see an alert light on the dashboard. This is a serious problem and you'll have to see a specialist to diagnose the root cause.
Modern keyless entry systems are defended by a variety of sensors, including a door handle detector. It is located inside the front doors and waits for a trigger like the insertion of the key or pressing a button on the tailgate. If the trigger is detected, a signal is sent to the car's control unit, and it unlocks the doors and then starts the engine. The Kodiaq Superb Octavia Enyaq and Enyaq all have the same Area View system that uses cameras to show multiple views of the immediate surroundings around your car on the screen in your car.
Remote Control Window Winding
If the window winding on your skoda keys isn't operating correctly, it could be due to a bad switch or faulty motor. In the event of a defective switch, you can use a multimeter to check for continuity between the ground and power wires that are connected to the window motor. Ideally, you should get power to both when you press the switch. If not, the switch is likely to be defective.
If you are unable to fix the issue, it's recommended to seek help from an auto electrician. They'll be able to fix the window winding in your Skoda Octavia and will also make sure that everything is functioning properly. You can also ask a local skoda dealer regarding the issue.
Electric windows are akin to manual windows except that they feature a motor instead of a handle which moves them up and down. The motor is connected to windows by two circuits: one switch position and circuit drive it in one direction (window up) and the other switch position and circuit drives it in the opposite direction (window down). The switches' contacts are connected to the power supply that is then connected to a motor in order to complete the actual winding. A large plate has gear teeth carved into it and the motor spins a gear that engages these teeth when the window is raised. When the window is lowered and the gear is released and the handle is able to move freely.
Multi-function Steering Wheel

In order to keep both hands on the wheel and both eyes on the road, a variety of functions have been moved from the console or dashboard to the steering wheel. Radio controls cruise control, cruise control and several other features are integrated into the steering wheel. It's an intelligent solution that improves car safety for both the driver and passengers.
The new two-spoke wheel was first introduced in the fourth generation OCTAVIA, and is now included in the majority of SKODA vehicles. It's sleek and modern, and it also enables various variations such as a three-spoke version.
Marwan Khiat the designer, who designed the logo Marwan Khiat, the designer, says: "We wanted to keep it as clean as we could to make the logo pop and not create clutter." The steering wheel is equipped with 14 buttons that control the functions of the vehicle. All of them are clearly labeled. They can be operated with a simple click, making them easy to use, without having to take the driver's hands off the wheel.
The steering wheel is equipped with controls for controlling the air conditioning system as well as heating in winter. It is also compatible with the CAN Bus system, which allows integration of multimedia features such as Bluetooth radio, radio and USB connection.
Ambient Lighting
You can shut all of your windows with just a single button. This makes it simple to get into your car during a hot day and cool off in no time at all. The same feature can be used to synchronize your sunroof so that it automatically closes when you lock your car.
With ambient lighting it is possible to add a personal look by changing the color of the light on the sides and the dashboard at the touch of a button. Depending on your mood, you can choose from a range of 10 hues and intensities to create the perfect atmosphere.
With her response , LED lighting is more energy efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs, and also emits less heat. This lowers the energy use and CO2 emissions from your vehicle.
In case of emergency, you can send your vehicle's location report along with other important information to an emergency center. This data helps rescue teams locate your vehicle and respond as quickly as they can. This is only one of the many services offered by eCall which you can activate or renew using the MySkoda app.
Umbrella Storage
Have you ever been sucked in by the weather without an umbrella? If you own a Skoda Superb Combi, this will never occur again. There's a compartment in each of the front doors (except for the driver's side) which is just the right size to store an umbrella. So you'll avoid getting soaked when you exit the car when you stop.
It's just a little detail that can make a huge difference. The umbrella will be waiting for you when you open the door. When you are driving the umbrella will remain out of the way and not get into your path. It's just one of the many clever ways to show just how much thought goes into the design of a Skoda.
You can also keep your drinks nearby with a drink holder that is on each of the doors. There's even an holder for washer fluid bottles with a handy funnel, which allows you to top up your fluid without getting it all over the place.
Then there's a clever solution to help cool your car after a long drive. When you push the unlock button on the fob of your key, all windows will automatically close. It's a clever feature that helps take some of the stress of driving.
